The Farm Indoor Archery Club began in 1980 under the banner of the Ingle Farm Recreation Centre and the City of Salisbury. The Club was formed by Jim Hale and Allan Daff in 1979 and commenced as a club in 1980.

At the time it was listed as the only indoor archery club in South Australia, and being only a small group has been a continuous and viable club to the present.

Coaching Membership Fees

Our regular club competition is held every Saturday, with shooting being at 1.30 pm, and generally finishing around 5 pm, when we then retire to the club rooms and brag about our scores and ability. EFA members enjoy the relaxed and friendly nature of the club.

There are 14 permanent field butts which are used for all accredited rounds of field archery, with an extra 4 butts used for target rounds and practice purposes.

The Adelaide Archery Club probably began with the arrival of Colonel William light to South Australia in 1836. This worthy gentleman, who planned Adelaide and most of the close suburbs, brought with him two longbows and many sets of arrows. Quite obviously he was an enthusiastic archer and would have influenced others.

Home of all things South Australian, in archery. ARCHERY SA (or as it was known until 1993, the Archery Society of South Australia) was formed in 1947. However, archery is recorded as having begun in South Australia with Adelaide's founding father, Colonel William Light in the early 1800s. His bow and arrows are still held in a collection by the City of Adelaide.

Today it is one of the premier State archery bodies in Australia.
